✧ Abu Imran al-Jawni on the authority of Anas

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ، نَا عَفَّانُ، نَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ وَأَبِي عِمْرَانَ الْجَوْنِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ; أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ:
يَخْرُجُ مِنَ النَّارِ، قَالَ أَبُو عِمْرَانَ: أَرْبَعَةٌ، وَقَالَ ثَابِتٌ: رَجُلَانِ، فَيُعْرَضُونَ عَلَى اللهِ، ثُمَّ يُؤْمَرُ بِهِمْ إِلَى النَّارِ، فَيَلْتَفِتُ أَحَدُهُمْ فَيَقُولُ: لَقَدْ كُنْتُ أَرْجُوكَ إِذْ أَخْرَجْتَنِي مِنْهَا أَنْ لَا تُعِيدَنِي فِيهَا قَالَ: فَيُنْجِيهِ اللهُ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى مِنْهَا
Translation

✧ They will come out of the Fire—Abu Imran said: four, while Thabit said: two men—and they will be presented before Allah, then He will command that they be sent back to the Fire. One of them will turn and say: "I had hoped in You that when You brought me out of it, You would not return me to it." He said: So Allah, Blessed and Exalted, will save him from it.
