حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ أَخْزَمَ، نَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ، نَا سَلِيمُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ - ثِقَةٌ - عَنْ مَرْوَانَ الْأَصْفَرِ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ. وَنَاهُ عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الصَّمَدِ، نَا أَبِي، نَا سَلِيمُ بْنُ حَيَّانَ عَنْ مَرْوَانَ الْأَصْفَرِ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ;
أَنَّ عَلِيَّ بْنَ أَبِي طَالِبٍ، ؓ، قَدِمَ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِنَ الْيَمَنِ، فَقَالَ لَهُ: بِمَ أَهْلَلْتَ ؟ قَالَ: أَهْلَلْتُ بِمَا أَهَلَّ بِهِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ: لَوْلَا أَنَّ مَعِي الْهَدْيَ لَأَحْلَلْتُ

✧ ʿAlī b. Abī Ṭālib ؓ came to the Messenger of God ﷺ from Yemen. He said to him: 'With what did you enter iḥrām?' He replied: 'I entered iḥrām with what the Messenger of God ﷺ entered iḥrām.' He said: 'Had I not brought the sacrificial animal, I would have exited iḥrām.'
