وَنَاهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، نَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ، فَلَا أَدْرِي أَشَيْءٌ أُنْزِلَ أَمْ كَانَ يَقُولُهُ:
لَوْ أَنَّ لِابْنِ آدَمَ وَادِيًا مِنْ مَالٍ لَتَمَنَّى، أَوْ لَابْتَغَى وَادِيًا ثَانِيًا، وَلَا يَمْلَأُ جَوْفَ ابْنِ آدَمَ إِلَّا التُّرَابُ وَيَتُوبُ اللهُ عَلَى مَنْ تَابَ
Translation

✧ If the son of Adam had a valley of wealth, he would wish for, or seek, a second valley, and nothing fills the belly of the son of Adam except dust. And Allah turns in mercy to whoever repents.
