حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ، نَا رَوْحُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ، نَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ;

✧ Eighty men from the people of Makkah descended upon the Prophet ﷺ and his companions from above the mountain, from the direction of al-Tan'im, to kill them. The Messenger of God ﷺ captured them peacefully and set them free. Then God, Blessed and Exalted, revealed: 'And He it is who restrained their hands from you and your hands from them...' until the end of the verse.
