حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مَعْمَرٍ، نَا رَوْحٌ، نَا حَمَّادٌ، نَا ثَابِتٌ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ;
أَنَّ فَتًى مِنَ الْأَنْصَارِ قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ إِنِّي أُرِيدُ أَنْ أَتَجَهَّزَ وَلَيْسَ لِي مَا أَتَجَهَّزُ بِهِ، فَقَالَ: اذْهَبْ إِلَى فُلَانٍ، فَإِنَّهُ قَدْ كَانَ تَجَهَّزَ وَمَرِضَ فَقَالَ: إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يُقْرِئُكَ السَّلَامَ، وَيَقُولُ: ادْفَعْ إِلَيَّ مَا تَجَهَّزْتَ، فَقَالَ: لَهُ ذَلِكَ، فَقَالَ: يَا فُلَانَةُ أَعْطِيهِ مَا جَهَّزْتِينِي بِهِ، وَلَا تَحْبِسِي عَنْهُ شَيْئًا، فَإِنَّكِ وَاللهِ إِنْ حَبَسْتِ عَنْهُ شَيْئًا لَا يُبَارَكُ لَكِ
Translation

✧ A young man from the Helpers said: 'O Messenger of God, I want to equip myself (for an expedition), but I have nothing to equip myself with.' He said: 'Go to so-and-so, for he had equipped himself but fell ill.' The young man said (to the sick man): 'The Messenger of God ﷺ sends you greetings of peace and says: Hand over to me what you have equipped yourself with.' He said: 'It is for you.' Then he said: 'O so-and-so (his wife), give him what you equipped me with, and do not withhold anything from him. For by God, if you withhold anything from him, it will not be blessed for you.'
