وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ اللَّيْثِيُّ، نَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ;

✧ The Prophet ﷺ met a man called Harithah in one of the alleys of Madinah and said, "How are you this morning, O Harithah?" He said, "I have become a true believer." He said, "Every faith has a reality, so what is the reality of your faith?" He said, "My soul turned away from the world, so I stayed thirsty (fasting) and spent my nights sleepless (in worship), and it is as if I see the Throne of my Lord appearing, and it is as if I see the people of Paradise in Paradise enjoying themselves, and the people of the Fire in the Fire being punished." The Prophet ﷺ said, "You have hit the mark, so hold fast. A believer whose heart Allah has illumined."
