حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، نَا زَكَرِيَّا بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ ثَابِتًا الْبُنَانِيَّ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ:

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ يَوْمَ الْخَنْدَقِ: وَاللهِ لَوْلَا اللهُ مَا اهْتَدَيْنَا، وَلَا صُمْنَا وَلَا صَلَّيْنَا، فَأَنْزِلْ سَكِينَةً عَلَيْنَا

Translation

✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ used to say on the day of the Trench: By God, were it not for God, we would not have been guided, nor fasted, nor prayed. So send down tranquility upon us.
