حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ التَّيْمِيُّ وَزَيْدُ بْنُ أَخْزَمَ، قَالَا: نَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، حَدَّثَنَا الْحَكَمُ بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ:
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ لَمْ يَرْفَعْ أَحَدٌ إِلَيْهِ رَأْسَهُ هَيْبَةً لَهُ إِلَّا أَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ، فَإِنَّهُ كَانَ يَضْحَكُ إِلَيْهِمَا وَيَضْحَكَانِ إِلَيْهِ - أَحْسَبُ قَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا - يَتَبَسَّمَانِ إِلَيْهِ وَيَتَبَسَّمُ إِلَيْهِمَا

✧ When the Messenger of God ﷺ entered the mosque, no one would raise his head to him out of awe except Abu Bakr and Umar. He would smile at them and they would smile at him — I think one of them said — they would smile at him and he would smile at them.
