✧ The Basrans from Anas

وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ ; قَالَ:
مَا كَانَ شَخْصٌ أَحَبَّ إِلَى أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، وَكَانُوا لَا يَقُومُونَ لَهُ لِمَا يَعْرِفُونَ مِنْ كَرَاهِيَتِهِ ﷺ لِذَلِكَ
Translation
✧ No person was more beloved to the companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ than the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, yet they would not stand up for him because they knew he disliked that ﷺ.
