حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَرَفَةَ، قَالَ: نَا عَبَّادُ بْنُ الْعَوَّامِ، قَالَ: نَا الْحَجَّاجُ بْنُ أَرْطَاةَ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ الْمَكِّيِّ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ ابْنِ الْحَنَفِيَّةِ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ

أَنَّهُ سُئِلَ عَنْ صِفَةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ فَقَالَ: كَانَ " لَا قَصِيرَ وَلَا طَوِيلَ، حَسَنَ الشَّعَرِ، رَجِلَهُ مَشُوبًا وَجْهُهُ حُمْرَةً، ضَخْمَ الْكَرَادِيسِ، طَوِيلَ الْمَسْرُبَةِ، لَمْ أَرَ قَبْلَهُ، وَلَمْ أَرَ بَعْدَهُ مِثْلَهُ، إِذَا مَشَى تَكَفَّأَ، كَأَنَّمَا يَنْزِلُ فِي صَبَبٍ

✧ He was asked about the description of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and said: "He was neither short nor tall, had beautiful hair, combed, with a reddish complexion, large joints, and a long line of hair from the chest to the navel. I have never seen anyone like him before or after. When he walked, he leaned forward as if descending a slope."
