حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، نَا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، وَسَهْلُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، وَابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، ( رَفَعَهُ ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، وَسَهْلُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، وَلَمْ يَرْفَعْهُ خَالِدٌ ) قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
لَا يَتَمَنَّيَنَّ أَحَدُكُمُ الْمَوْتَ لِضُرٍّ نَزَلَ بِهِ، وَلَكِنْ لِيَقُلِ: اللَّهُمَّ أَحْيِنِي مَا كَانَتِ الْحَيَاةُ خَيْرًا لِي، وَتَوَفَّنِي إِذَا كَانَتِ الْوَفَاةُ خَيْرًا لِي.
