Translation
✧ Anas was asked about the voluntary prayer and fasting of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. He said, 'He would fast during the month until we would say, "He does not want to break his fast at all," and he would not fast during the month until we would say, "He does not want to fast at all." We never wished to see him praying at night except that we saw him, and we never saw him sleeping except that we saw him.'
