✧ The Basrans from Anas

وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ:

الصَّلَوَاتُ الْخَمْسُ وَالْجُمُعَةُ إِلَى الْجُمُعَةِ كَفَّارَاتٌ لِمَا بَيْنَهُنَّ مَا اجْتُنِبَتِ الْكَبَائِرُ، وَإِنَّ مِنَ الْجُمُعَةِ لَسَاعَةً لَا يُوَافِقُهَا مُسْلِمٌ وَلَا مُسْلِمَةٌ يَسْأَلُ اللهَ فِيهَا خَيْرًا إِلَّا أَعْطَاهُ، قَالَ: وَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: مَثَلُ الصَّلَوَاتِ الْخَمْسِ كَنَهَرٍ غَمْرٍ بِبَابِ أَحَدِكُمْ يَغْتَسِلُ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ فِيهِ خَمْسَ مَرَّاتٍ، فَمَاذَا يَبْقَيَنَّ مِنْ دَرَنِهِ ؟.

Translation

  1. al-Nabī ﷺ

✧ The five prayers and Friday to Friday are expiations for what is between them, as long as major sins are avoided. And indeed in Friday there is an hour in which no Muslim, male or female, asks God for good but He gives it to him. He said: And the Messenger of God ﷺ said: The likeness of the five prayers is that of a deep river at the door of one of you in which he bathes five times every day; what dirt would remain on him?
