حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى وَزَيْدُ بْنُ أَخْزَمَ، قَالَا: نَا عُمَرُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، نَا عِكْرِمَةُ، حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ ;

أَنَّ رَجُلًا قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنَّا كُنَّا فِي دَارٍ كَثِيرٌ فِيهَا عَدَدُنَا، وَكَثُرَتْ فِيهَا أَمْوَالُنَا، فَتَحَوَّلْنَا إِلَى دَارٍ أَحْسَبُهُ قَالَ: قَلَّ فِيهَا عَدَدُنَا وَقَلَّ فِيهَا أَمْوَالُنَا. فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: دَعُوهَا وَهِيَ ذَمِيمَةٌ

✧ A man said: "O Messenger of God, we were in a land where our numbers were many and our wealth abundant, and we moved to a land—I think he said—where our numbers became few and our wealth became little." The Messenger of God ﷺ said: "Leave it, for it is blameworthy."
