حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، نَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ خَالِدِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ بْنِ مَوْهَبٍ، نَا الْمُفَضَّلُ بْنُ فَضَالَةَ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ:

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا ارْتَحَلَ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَزِيغَ الشَّمْسُ أَخَّرَ الظُّهْرَ إِلَى وَقْتِ الْعَصْرِ، ثُمَّ يَنْزِلُ فَيَجْمَعُ بَيْنَهُمَا، فَإِنْ زَاغَتْ قَبْلَ أَنْ يَرْتَحِلَ صَلَّى الظُّهْرَ ثُمَّ رَكِبَ

✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ set out before the sun declined, he delayed Zuhr until the time of 'Asr, then he dismounted and combined them. If the sun had declined before he set out, he prayed Zuhr and then mounted.
