حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، نَا بِشْرُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، نَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ، عَنْ عُقَيْلٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ شِهَابٍ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ:
كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ إِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَجْمَعَ بَيْنَ الصَّلَاتَيْنِ، يَعْنِي فِي السَّفَرِ أَخَّرَ الظُّهْرَ حَتَّى يَدْخُلَ وَقْتُ الْعَصْرِ ثُمَّ يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَهُمَا، وَإِذَا أَرَادَ أَنْ يَجْمَعَ بَيْنَ الْمَغْرِبِ وَالْعِشَاءِ أَخَّرَ الْمَغْرِبَ حَتَّى يَدْخُلَ وَقْتُ الْعِشَاءِ ثُمَّ يَجْمَعُ بَيْنَهُمَا

✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ wanted to combine two prayers – meaning in travel – he delayed Zuhr until the time of 'Asr entered, then combined them. And when he wanted to combine Maghrib and 'Isha, he delayed Maghrib until the time of 'Isha entered, then combined them.
