✧ On Monday, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ drew back the curtain of the room while Abū Bakr was leading the people in prayer. I looked at his face and it was like a page of the muṣḥaf, and he was smiling. We almost fell into temptation in our prayer out of joy at seeing the Messenger of Allah ﷺ. Abū Bakr wanted to step back, but he gestured to him: Stay as you are. Then he let the curtain fall, and he passed away on that day.
