حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الرَّبِيعِ الْحَارِثِيُّ عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَبِي فُدَيْكٍ، أَخْبَرَنِي عِيسَى بْنُ أَبِي عِيسَى، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

الْحَسَدُ يَأْكُلُ الْحَسَنَاتِ كَمَا تَأْكُلُ النَّارُ الْحَطَبَ، وَالصَّدَقَةُ تُطْفِئُ الْخَطِيئَةَ كَمَا يُطْفِئُ الْمَاءُ النَّارَ، وَالصَّلَاةُ نُورُ الْمُؤْمِنِ، وَالصِّيَامُ جُنَّةٌ مِنَ النَّارِ

✧ Envy consumes good deeds as fire consumes firewood; charity extinguishes sin as water extinguishes fire; prayer is the light of the believer; fasting is a shield from the Fire.
