وَنَاهُ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ الْمِقْدَامِ، نَا الْمُعْتَمِرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، نَا أَبِي، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بِنَحْوِهِ. وَهَذَا الْحَدِيثُ قَدْ رُوِيَ عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ مِنْ وُجُوهٍ: رَوَاهُ سَالِمٌ وَنَافِعٌ وَعَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ وَزَيْدُ بْنُ أَسْلَمَ وَغَيْرُهُمْ. وَإِنَّمَا أَعَدْنَاهُ لِأَنَّ قَتَادَةَ لَمْ يُسْنِدْ عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ غَيْرَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ، فَلَوْ تَرَكْنَاهُ ذَهَبَ حَدِيثُ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ سَالِمٍ. وَلَمْ يُسْنِدْ قُدَامَةُ بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ غَيْرَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ
Translation
✧ Ahmad b. al-Miqdam narrated to us, al-Mu'tamir b. Sulayman narrated to us, my father narrated to us, from Qatadah, from Salim, from his father, from the Prophet ﷺ similarly. This hadith has been narrated from Ibn Umar through several routes: Salim, Nafi, Abdullah b. Dinar, Zayd b. Aslam, and others narrated it. We have repeated it only because Qatadah did not narrate with a chain from Salim, from his father, any hadith other than this one. If we had omitted it, Qatadah's hadith from Salim would have been lost. Qudamah b. Musa also did not narrate with a chain from Salim, from his father, any hadith other than this one.
