Musnad al-Bazzar 5713

وَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، نَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ، عَنْ أَيُّوبَ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ

أَنَّهُ رَأَى نُخَامَةً فِي قِبْلَةِ الْمَسْجِدِ، فَحَكَّهَا بِيَدِهِ، ثُمَّ أَقْبَلَ عَلَى النَّاسِ فَتَغَيَّظَ عَلَيْهِمْ وَقَالَ: إِنَّ اللهَ قِبَلَ وَجْهِ أَحَدِكُمْ فِي صَلَاتِهِ فَلَا يَتَنَخَّمَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ قِبَلَ وَجْهِهِ فِي صَلَاتِهِ

Translation

✧ He saw some sputum in the qiblah of the mosque, so he scraped it with his hand. Then he turned to the people, became angry with them, and said: 'Allah is in front of the face of one of you in his prayer, so let none of you spit in front of his face in his prayer.'
