حَدَّثَنَا الْقَاسِمُ بْنُ وُهَيْبٍ الْكُوفِيُّ، قَالَ: نَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ، قَالَ: نَا مِنْدَلٌ عَنْ رِشْدِينَ بْنِ كُرَيْبٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ؓ قَالَ:

جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ فَقَالَتْ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنِّي وَافِدَةُ النِّسَاءِ إِلَيْكَ، هَذَا الْجِهَادُ كَتَبَهُ اللهُ عَلَى الرِّجَالِ، فَإِنْ نَصَبُوا أُجِرُوا، وَإِنْ قُتِلُوا كَانُوا أَحْيَاءً عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ يُرْزَقُونَ، وَنَحْنُ مُعَاشِرَ النِّسَاءِ نَقُومُ عَلَيْهِمْ فَمَا لَنَا مِنْ ذَلِكَ ؟ قَالَ: فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: أَبْلِغِي مَنْ لَقِيتِ مِنَ النِّسَاءِ أَنَّ طَاعَةَ الزَّوْجِ وَاعْتِرَافًا بِحَقِّهِ يَعْدِلُ ذَلِكَ، وَقَلِيلٌ مِنْكُنَّ مَنْ يَفْعَلُهُ

✧ A woman came to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'O Messenger of God, I am the envoy of women to you. This jihad God has prescribed upon men: if they strive they are rewarded, and if they are killed they are alive with their Lord, provided for. We, the community of women, serve them, so what do we get from that?' The Prophet ﷺ said: 'Convey to the women you meet that obedience to the husband and recognition of his right equals that, and few of you do it.'
