✧ He used to say: “O Allah, I seek refuge in You from Satan, from his prodding and his blowing” — I think he said, “and his spitting” — “and from the punishment of the grave.” It was said, “O Messenger of Allah, what is this that you seek refuge from?” He said, “As for his prodding, it is the whispering he casts. As for his spitting, it is poetry. As for his blowing, it is the doubts he casts” — meaning in prayer, to interrupt his prayer, or a person's prayer. “As for the punishment of the grave, he used to say, ‘Most of the punishment of the grave is from urine.’”
