machine translationIt was narrated by Ḥajjāj, Ibn Jurayj, and more than one person, from ʿAṭāʾ, from Ibn ʿAbbās, from the Prophet ﷺ. My father said: As for the hadith of Maʿqil, it indicates that it is mursal (disconnected by omission of the Companion), and he fell short in narrating it; whoever contradicts Ibn Jurayj regarding ʿAṭāʾ has put himself in trouble.
