✧ My father sent me to the Prophet ﷺ on the night that was my aunt's turn. I came and lay down on the bed. He said: 'Has the boy fallen asleep?' I had not slept, and I was listening to his words. He prayed four rakʿahs, prolonging the recitation, bowing, and prostration. Then he lay down. Then he got up and prayed five rakʿahs. I got up, performed ablution, and stood on his left, so he took my hand from behind him and placed me on his right. I understood from his supplication while he was saying: 'O Allah, place light in my hearing and light in my sight and light in my heart and light in my tongue, and light on my right and light on my left and light in front of me and light behind me and light beneath me and light above me. O Allah, make my light great.'
