✧ When your brothers were killed, Allah placed their souls in the crops of green birds that come to the rivers of Paradise, eat from its fruits, and seek shelter in lanterns suspended in the shade of the Throne. When they found the goodness of their food and drink, they said: 'If only our brothers knew what Allah has honored us with.' Allah, Blessed and Exalted, said: 'I shall convey it to them on your behalf.' Then Allah, Blessed and Exalted, sent down: 'And never think of those who have been killed in the cause of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision, rejoicing in what Allah has bestowed upon them of His bounty, and they receive good tidings about those who have not yet joined them from behind them, that there will be no fear concerning them, nor will they grieve.'
