Translation

✧ I was helped by the east wind, and ʿĀd was destroyed by the west wind, and nothing was sent upon them except the like of a ring.

  وهذا الحديث قد ذكرناه عن مجاهد وسعيد بن جبير عن ابن عباس عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم نصرت بالصبا وأهلكت عاد بالدبور وزاد مسلم عن مجاهد عن ابن عباس وما أرسل عليهم إلا مثل الخاتم فإنما ذكرناه من أجل الزيادة وهذا الكلام إنما يحفظ عن ابن عباس موقوفا رواه المنهال عن سعيد عن ابن عباس ومجاهد عن ابن عباس ولا نعلم أسنده إلا مسلم
