  • Bazzār

machine translationThis ḥadīth has been narrated, with wording similar to his words, through several routes from the Prophet ﷺ, with differing wordings, and we do not know it to be narrated from Ibn ʿAbbās except through this route. We have already mentioned Ibrāhīm b. ʿUthmān, so we have no need to repeat mentioning him. After him comes Jubārah b. al-Mughallis, a Kūfan, a Ḥimmānī, who had grown old and had been prompted with ḥadīths and accepted the prompting; so his ḥadīth was prompted to him for that reason. Ibrāhīm b. ʿUthmān is the grandfather of Abū Bakr b. Abī Shaybah; he was a Kūfan with poor memory.
