4856 4849 - وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ قَالَ:
أَنَا سُفْيَانُ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ وَلَمْ يَقُلْ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ. وَإِنَّمَا ذَكَرْنَا حَدِيثَ سُهَيْلٍ عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ حَسَّانَ لِأَنَّهُ لَمْ يُسْنِدْ سُهَيْلٌ عَنْ حَبِيبٍ غَيْرَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ وَذَكَرْنَا حَدِيثَ عَمْرٍو عَنْ طَاوُسٍ لِئَلَّا يَقُولَ قَائِلٌ إِنَّهُ عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ فَبَيَّنَّا أَنَّهُ لَيْسَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، وَلَا نَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا رَوَاهُ عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ إِلَّا وَكِيعٌ
Translation

✧ Sufyan narrated to us, from 'Amr b. Dinar, from Tawus, and he did not say, from Ibn 'Abbas. We have mentioned the hadith of Suhayl from Habib b. Hassan only because Suhayl did not transmit from Habib anything other than this hadith, and we have mentioned the hadith of 'Amr from Tawus so that no one may say that it is from Ibn 'Abbas, and we have thus made clear that it is not from Ibn 'Abbas. And we do not know of anyone who narrated it from al-A'mash, from Mujahid, from Tawus, from Ibn 'Abbas except Waki'.
