وَبِإِسْنَادِهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ كَانَ يَقُولُ:

" إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَا تَمْتَلِئُ نَفْسُهُ مِنَ الْمَالِ حَتَّى تَمْتَلِئَ مِنَ التُّرَابِ، وَلَوْ لِأَحَدِكُمْ وَادٍ مَلْآنُ مَا بَيْنَ أَعْلَاهُ إِلَى أَسْفَلِهِ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يُمْلَأَ لَهُ وَادٍ آخَرُ، فَإِنْ مُلِئَ الْوَادِ الْآخَرُ فَانْطَلَقَ فَوَجَدَ وَادٍ آخَرَ قَالَ: أَمَا وَاللهِ لَوِ اسْتَطَعْتُ لَمَلَأْتُكَ

Translation

Chain of narrators
  1. Rasūl Allāh ﷺ Kān

✧ “A man’s soul is never filled with wealth until it is filled with dust. If one of you had a valley full of what is between its top and bottom, he would love to have another valley filled for him. If the other valley were filled, he would go off and find another valley and say: ‘By God, if I could, I would fill you too.’”
