حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَمْرَةَ الرَّازِيُّ، قَالَ: نَا السِّنْدِيُّ بْنُ عَبْدَوَيْهِ، قَالَ: نَا جِسْرُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنِ الْأَزْرَقِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ أَبَا بَرْزَةَ الْأَسْلَمِيَّ ؓ يَقُولُ

غَزَوْتُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ غَزْوَةَ كَذَا وَكَذَا، حَتَّى عَدَّ ثَمَانَ غَزَوَاتٍ فَمَا رَأَيْنَا مِنْهُ إِلَّا التَّيْسِيرَ وَالتَّخْفِيفَ

Translation

  4. al-Azraq b. Qays
  5. Abū Barzah al-Aslamī

✧ I went on such-and-such a military expedition with the Messenger of God ﷺ—until he counted eight expeditions—and we saw nothing from him but ease and lightening (of burdens).
