حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ، قَالَ: أَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ الْحُبَابِ، قَالَ: أَنَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ وَاقِدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ؓ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ -:

" دَخَلْتُ الْجَنَّةَ فَرَأَيْتُ فِيهَا قَصْرًا فَقُلْتُ: لِمَنْ هَذَا ؟ قَالُوا: لِرَجُلٍ عَرَبِيٍّ. فَقُلْتُ: أَنَا عَرَبِيٌّ، قُلْتُ: لِمَنْ هَذَا الْقَصْرُ ؟ قَالُوا: لِرَجُلٍ مِنْ أُمَّةِ مُحَمَّدٍ ﷺ قُلْتُ: أَنَا مُحَمَّدٌ، ثُمَّ قُلْتُ: لِمَنْ هَذَا الْقَصْرُ ؟ قَالُوا: لِعُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ ؓ فَلَوْلَا غَيْرَتُكَ لَدَخَلْتُهُ "، قَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ لَمْ أَكُنْ لِأَغَارَ عَلَيْكَ

Translation

✧ "I entered Paradise and saw a palace there. I asked, 'For whom is this?' They said, 'For an Arab man.' I said, 'I am an Arab.' I asked, 'For whom is this palace?' They said, 'For a man from the community of Muhammad ﷺ.' I said, 'I am Muhammad.' Then I asked, 'For whom is this palace?' They said, 'For Umar b. al-Khattab ؓ. Were it not for your jealousy, I would have entered it.'" He said, "O Messenger of God, I would never be jealous of you."
