حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحِيمِ، قَالَ: نَا خَالِدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْقُرَشِيُّ، قَالَ: نَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْأَعْلَى الثَّعْلَبِيِّ، قَالَ:
صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ عَلَى جِنَازَةٍ فَكَبَّرَ خَمْسًا، فَقَالَ لَهُ ابْنُ أَبِي لَيْلَى: أَوَهِمْتَ ؟ فَقَالَ: لَا، إِنِّي صَلَّيْتُ خَلْفَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ عَلَى جِنَازَةٍ فَكَبَّرَ خَمْسًا
Translation

✧ I prayed behind Zayd b. Arqam over a funeral and he said five takbirs. Ibn Abi Layla said to him: Did you make a mistake? He said: No, I prayed behind the Messenger of Allah ﷺ over a funeral and he said five takbirs.
