✧ I went out one night, and there was the Messenger of God ﷺ alone, with no one with him. I thought he disliked having anyone with him, so I walked in the moonlight. He turned and saw me and said: 'Who is this?' I said: 'Abu Dharr, may God make me your ransom.' He said: 'Walk with me for a while.' Then he said: 'Those who have the most are the ones with the least, except one who gives—meaning from his right, his left, in front of him, and behind him.' Then he walked with me for a while, then said: 'Sit here.' He stayed away from me for a long time. Then I heard him coming back, and he was saying: '...even if he steals.' I said: 'May God make me your ransom, who were you talking to on the side of the lava field? I did not hear anyone answer you.' He said: 'That was Jibril ﷺ. He appeared to me on the side of the lava field and said: Give glad tidings to your ummah that whoever dies without associating anything with God will enter Paradise.' I said: 'Even if he commits adultery and even if he steals?' He said: 'Yes.' I said: 'Even if he commits adultery and even if he steals?' He said: 'Yes, even if he is disgraced.'
