حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَبِيبِ بْنِ عَرَبِيٍّ قَالَ: نَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ قَالَ: نَا وَاصِلٌ، مَوْلَى أَبِي عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ عُقَيْلٍ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ يَعْمَرَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَسْوَدِ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ ؓ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ:

عُرِضَتْ عَلَيَّ أَعْمَالُ أُمَّتِي حَسَنُهَا وَسَيِّئُهَا فَرَأَيْتُ فِيَ مَحَاسِنِ أَعْمَالِهَا الْأَذَى يُمَاطُ عَنِ الطَّرِيقِ، وَوَجَدْتُ فِي مَسَاوِي أَعْمَالِهَا النُّخَامَةَ تَكُونُ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ - أَحْسَبُهُ قَالَ - فَلَا يَدْفِنُهَا

✧ The deeds of my Ummah were presented to me, their good deeds and their bad deeds. I saw among the good deeds of my Ummah the removal of harmful things from the road, and I found among the bad deeds of my Ummah the phlegm that is in the mosque - I think he said - and is not buried.

    قول مهدي بن ميمون أصح لأنه زاد عليهما يعني هشام بن حسان وحماد بن زيد وهو ثقة حافظ
