✧ On the day of Uhud, when the polytheists withdrew, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Form ranks and stand firm so that I may praise my Lord.' So they formed ranks behind him. He said: 'O Allah, to You belongs all praise. There is none who can withhold what You extend, and none who can extend what You withhold. There is none who can guide whom You leave astray, and none who can lead astray whom You guide. There is none who can give what You withhold, and none who can withhold what You give. There is none who can bring near what You keep distant, and none who can keep distant what You bring near. O Allah, spread upon us from Your blessings, mercy, bounty, and provision. O Allah, I ask You for the enduring bliss on the Day of Resurrection. O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the evil of what You have given us and from the evil of what You have withheld from us. O Allah, endear faith to us and beautify it in our hearts, and make disbelief, wickedness, and disobedience hateful to us, and make us among the rightly guided. O Allah, cause us to die as Muslims and join us with the righteous, not disgraced or put to trial. O Allah, fight the disbelievers who reject Your messengers. O Allah, place upon them Your wrath and punishment. O Allah, fight the disbelievers among the People of the Book.'

machine translationWe do not know this hadith to be narrated from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ except through this route; Rifāʿah b. Rāfiʿ alone narrated it from him. And we do not know anyone who narrated it from ʿUbayd except ʿAbd al-Wāḥid b. Ayman, who is a well-known man, there is nothing wrong with him in hadith, and the people of knowledge narrated from him.

واقتصر على عبيد بن رفاعة عن أبيه وهو الصحيح ورجال أحمد رجال الصحيح
machine translationAnd he limited it to ʿUbayd b. Rifāʿah from his father, and that is the correct (ṣaḥīḥ) version. The men of Aḥmad are the men of the Ṣaḥīḥ.
