حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ: نَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ يَعْنِي الشَّحَّامَ، عَنْ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ؓ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ:
أَلَا إِنَّهُ سَيَخْرُجُ مِنْ أُمَّتِي أَقْوَامٌ أَحْدَاثُ الْأَسْنَانِ يَقْرَءُونَ الْقُرْآنَ لَا يُجَاوِزُ تَرَاقِيَهُمْ أَلَا فَإِذَا لَقِيتُمُوهُمْ يَعْنِي اقْتُلُوهُمْ ثُمَّ إِذَا لَقِيتُمُوهُمْ فَأَنِيمُوهُمْ
Translation

✧ Indeed, there will emerge from my nation people young in age, reciting the Quran, but it will not pass beyond their collarbones. Indeed, when you meet them—meaning kill them. Then when you meet them, put them to rest.
