✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said concerning al-Hasan b. ʿAlī: "This son of mine is a sayyid, and Allah will bring about reconciliation through him between two factions of the Muslims." When the matter of Muʿāwiyah occurred, no blood was shed even in a cupping glass.

in مسند البزار, p. 3647 - Dāraquṭnī
machine translationAḥmad b. ʿAbd al-Ṣamad al-Nahrawānī, who is well known and unobjectionable, narrated it from Ibn ʿUyaynah, from Ayyūb, from al-Ḥasan, but he erred in it. Rather, Ibn ʿUyaynah narrated it from Abū Mūsā Isrāʾīl, from al-Ḥasan, from Abū Bakrah. Likewise Yūnus, Manṣūr and ʿAmr b. ʿUbayd narrated it from al-Ḥasan, and that is the established version.
