حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، وَيَحْيَى بْنُ حَكِيمٍ قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ قَالَ: نَا الْمُهَاجِرُ أَبُو مَخْلَدٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ ؓ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ

" أَنَّهُ رَخَّصَ لِلْمُسَافِرِ ثَلَاثَةَ أَيَّامٍ وَلَيَالِيَهُنَّ وَلِلْمُقِيمِ يَوْمًا وَلَيْلَةً إِذَا تَطَهَّرَ فَلَبِسَ خُفَّيْهِ وَكَانَ أَبُو بَكْرَةَ إِذَا أَحْدَثَ تَوَضَّأَ فَخَلَعَ خُفَّيْهِ

Translation

✧ He ﷺ granted a concession to the traveler for three days and their nights, and to the resident for one day and one night, if he purified himself and then put on his leather socks. Abū Bakrah, when he broke his ablution, would perform ablution and remove his leather socks.
