✧ The Prophet ﷺ came out to all of his companions and said: "I was shown tonight your dwellings in Paradise and the nearness of your dwellings. Then the Messenger of God ﷺ turned to Abu Bakr and said: 'O Abu Bakr, I know a man whose name, his father's name, and his mother's name I know; he will not come to any gate of the gates of Paradise except that it will be said to him: Welcome, welcome.' Salman said to him: 'This man's status is indeed exalted, O Messenger of God.' He said: 'He is Abu Bakr b. Abi Quhafah.' Then he turned to Umar and said: 'O Umar, I saw in Paradise a palace of white pearl, its balconies of white pearl, built with rubies. I said: For whom is this? It was said: For a young man of Quraysh. I thought it was for me, so I went to enter it, but it was said: O Muhammad, this is for Umar b. al-Khattab. Nothing prevented me from entering it except your jealousy, O Abu Hafs.' Umar wept and said: 'May my father and mother be your ransom, would I be jealous of you, O Messenger of God?' Then he turned to Uthman b. Affan and said: 'O Uthman, every Prophet has a companion in Paradise, and you are my companion in Paradise.' Then he took Ali by the hand and said: 'O Ali, would it not please you that your dwelling in Paradise is opposite my dwelling?' He said: 'Yes, may my father and mother be your ransom, O Messenger of God.' He said: 'Indeed, your dwelling in Paradise is opposite my dwelling.' Then he turned to Talhah and al-Zubayr and said: 'O Talhah and O Zubayr, every Prophet has disciples, and you two are my disciples.' Then he turned to Abd al-Rahman b. Awf and said: 'You were delayed from me among my companions until I feared that you had perished and drowned in a severe drowning, so I said: What delayed you?' He said: 'O Messenger of God, because of the abundance of my wealth, I was kept standing for reckoning, being asked about my wealth: from where did I earn it? And on what did I spend it?' Abd al-Rahman wept and said: 'O Messenger of God, these are one hundred camels that came to me tonight from the merchants of Egypt; I call upon you to witness that they are for the people of Madinah and their children, so that perhaps God may lighten for me on that Day.'"
