حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ يُوسُفَ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ يَعْنِي ابْنَ بَهْدَلَةَ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ بَشِيرٍ ؓ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ أَنَّهُ قَالَ:
حَلَالٌ بَيِّنٌ وَحَرَامٌ بَيِّنٌ وَأُمُورٌ مُتَشَابِهَاتٌ، فَمَنْ تَرَكَ الشُّبُهَاتِ اسْتَبْرَأَ لِدِينِهِ كَانَ حَرِيًّا أَلَّا يَقَعَ فِي الشُّبْهَةِ، وَمَنْ يَرْتَعْ حَوْلَ الْحِمَا يُوشِكْ أَنْ يُوَاقِعَهُ أَلَا وَإِنَّ حِمَا اللهِ مَحَارِمُهُ

✧ The lawful is clear and the unlawful is clear, and matters that are ambiguous. So whoever leaves the doubtful matters safeguards his religion and is worthy of not falling into doubt, and whoever grazes around the sanctuary is on the verge of entering it. Indeed, Allah's sanctuary is His prohibitions.
