✧ The first hadith of Abu Musa

أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلَاءِ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ بُرَيْدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى ؓ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ - ﷺ قَالَ:

" إِنَّ اللهَ لَيُمْلِي لِلظَّالِمِ، فَإِذَا أَخَذَهُ لَمْ يُفْلِتْهُ ثُمَّ تَلَا وَكَذَلِكَ أَخْذُ رَبِّكَ إِذَا أَخَذَ الْقُرَى وَهِيَ ظَالِمَةٌ إِنَّ أَخْذَهُ أَلِيمٌ شَدِيدٌ.

✧ Allah grants respite to the wrongdoer, but when He seizes him, He does not let him escape. Then he recited: 'Thus is the seizure of your Lord when He seizes the towns while they are doing wrong. Indeed, His seizure is painful and severe.'
