✧ That a questioner came to the Prophet ﷺ and asked him about the times of prayer, but the Prophet ﷺ did not reply anything. Then he ordered Bilal, and he called the adhan for the Fajr prayer when dawn broke, and he prayed. Then he ordered him, and he called the adhan for the Zuhr prayer when the sun declined, while a speaker said: It has not declined, but he knew better, and he prayed Zuhr. Then he ordered Bilal, and he stood and called the adhan for Asr when the shadow of everything became equal to it. He ordered Bilal, and he called the adhan for Maghrib when the sun set or fell. Then he ordered Bilal, and he made the iqamah for Isha at the falling of the twilight. Then he ordered Bilal, and he made the iqamah for the Fajr prayer while the speaker said: The sun has risen, but he knew better ﷺ, and he prayed Fajr. Then he ordered Bilal, and he stood for the Zuhr prayer at the time of yesterday's Asr, and he prayed Asr while the speaker said: The sun has become red or has it not become red, but he knew better, and he prayed Maghrib before the twilight disappeared, and he prayed Isha until a third of the night. Then he said: Where is the questioner about the time of prayer? "Between these two is a time."
