Translation

✧ Sufyan reported to us, from Qays b. Muslim, from Tariq b. Shihab, from Abd Allah b. Mas'ud. Abu Bakr said: And this hadith, we do not know of anyone who narrated it from Sufyan except Muhammad b. Yusuf, and al-Mas'udi narrated it from Qays, from Tariq b. Shihab, from Abd Allah b. Mas'ud.

  قال أبي إنما أسند هذا الحديث المسعودي والربيع بن الركين وأبو وكيع وأما الثوري فإنه لا يسنده إلا الفريابي ولا أظن الثوري سمعه من قيس أراه مدلس
