✧ Abu Musa al-Ash'ari came to us and said to us: "Umar ordered me to bring him proof because I came to him and asked permission three times, but I was not granted permission, so I returned. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Whoever asks permission three times and is not granted it, let him return.' Umar said: 'You must bring me proof of this or I will cause you pain.' So I came to you so that you may stand with me." Ubayy b. Ka'b said: "No one will stand with you except the youngest of the people." I was the youngest of the people, so I stood with him.
