✧ When the Dajjal emerges, there will be with him water and fire. What people see as fire is actually cold water, and what they see as a garden is actually burning fire. Whoever of you lives to see that should fall into what he sees as fire, for it is cold water.

machine translationHe was asked about the hadith of Ribʿī from Abū Masʿūd, who said: The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "A man met his Lord, the Mighty and Majestic, and He said: What did you do? He said: I did no good except that I used to lend to people, so I would give respite to the well-off and overlook the one in difficulty. So Allah, the Mighty and Majestic, said: Overlook his faults." And "A man was extravagant (in sin) and said at the time of his death: When I die, burn me..." - the hadith. He said: It is narrated by Abū Mālik al-Ashjaʿī, Nuʿaym b. Abī Hind and ʿAbd al-Malik b. ʿUmayr, from Ribʿī, from Ḥudhayfah and Abū Masʿūd. Abū Khālid al-Aḥmar made an error (wahima) in it: he narrated it from Abū Mālik al-Ashjaʿī, from Ribʿī, from Ḥudhayfah, and said in it: ʿUqbah b. ʿĀmir al-Juhanī and Abū Masʿūd al-Anṣārī said: "This is how we heard it from the Prophet ﷺ." The correct version is: ʿUqbah b. ʿAmr Abū Masʿūd said.
