✧ I asked Salman al-Farisi about the tashahhud. He said: I will teach you as the Messenger of Allah ﷺ taught me. Then he took my hand and taught me the tashahhud word by word: The greetings, prayers, and good things are for Allah. Peace be upon you, O Prophet, and the mercy of Allah and His blessings. Peace be upon us and upon the righteous servants of Allah. I bear witness that there is no god but Allah, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant and His Messenger. Then he said: 'O Salman, say it in your prayer, and do not add a word to it or omit a word from it.'
