حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا جَرِيرُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْحَمِيدِ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ هِلَالِ بْنِ يَسَافٍ، عَنْ أَبِي يَحْيَى، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو ؓ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

" صَلَاةُ الْقَاعِدِ عَلَى النِّصْفِ مِنْ صَلَاةِ الْقَائِمِ قَالَ: فَأَتَيْتُهُ فَوَجَدْتُهُ يُصَلِّي جَالِسًا، فَقَالَ: " مَا لَكَ يَا عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَمْرٍو ؟ " قُلْتُ: حَدَّثْتَنَا أَنَّ صَلَاةَ الرَّجُلِ قَاعِدًا نِصْفُ الصَّلَاةِ، وَأَنْتَ تُصَلِّي قَاعِدًا ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ، وَلَكِنِّي لَسْتُ كَأَحَدٍ مِنْكُمْ

✧ The prayer of one sitting is half of the prayer of one standing. He said: So I came to him and found him praying sitting, so he said: What is the matter with you, O ʿAbd Allah b. ʿAmr? I said: You told us that the prayer of a man sitting is half the prayer, and you are praying sitting? He said: Yes, but I am not like any one of you.
