✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ said one day: “Who among you has fasted today?” Abu Bakr ؓ said: “I intended it last night and woke up fasting.” He said: “Who has given charity today?” Abu Bakr ؓ said: “I did. A poor person came by, so I entered and found a piece of bread in Abd al-Rahman's hand, took it, and gave it to him.” He said: “Which of you has visited a sick person today?” Abu Bakr ؓ said: “I did. I was told that Abd al-Rahman—meaning Ibn Awf—was sick, so I went and visited him.” The Prophet ﷺ said: “These qualities do not come together in a man in one day except that he enters Paradise.”
