✧ Prayer is two rak‘ahs at a time; you should recite the tashahhud in every rak‘ah, then humble yourself, show reverence, and display neediness; then raise your hands to your ears, then turn them toward your face, and say: “O Lord, O Lord.” Whoever does not do that, it is deficient.

    in مسند البزار, p. 2178
  • Abū Ḥatim al-Rāzī

machine translationWhat al-Layth says is more authentic, because ʿAmr b. al-Ḥārith and Ibn Lahīʿah corroborated al-Layth. ʿAmr and al-Layth used to write, whereas Shuʿbah was a man of memory. I said to my father: Is this chain sound (ṣaḥīḥ) in your view? He said: Good (ḥasan).

    in مسند البزار, p. 2178
  • Abū Ḥatim al-Rāzī

machine translationThere is a disagreement in its chain.

    in مسند البزار, p. 2178
  • Abū Ḥatim al-Rāzī

machine translationThe hadith of al-Layth is more authentic, because Anas b. Abī Anas is not known, and ʿAbdullāh b. al-Ḥārith has no meaning here; it is only Rabīʿah b. al-Ḥārith.
