حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ كُهَيْلٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الْأَحْوَصِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ:

كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ يُعَلِّمُنَا التَّشَهُّدَ فِي الصَّلَاةِ كَمَا يُعَلِّمُنَا السُّورَةَ مِنَ الْقُرْآنِ: التَّحِيَّاتُ لِلهِ وَالصَّلَوَاتُ وَالطَّيِّبَاتُ، السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكَ أَيُّهَا النَّبِيُّ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ، السَّلَامُ عَلَيْنَا وَعَلَى عِبَادِ اللهِ الصَّالِحِينَ، أَشْهَدُ أَنْ لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ، وَأَشْهَدُ أَنَّ مُحَمَّدًا عَبْدُهُ وَرَسُولُهُ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to teach us the tashahhud in prayer just as he would teach us a surah from the Quran: "Attahiyyatu lillahi was-salawatu wat-tayyibatu. As-salamu 'alayka ayyuhan-nabiyyu wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu. As-salamu 'alayna wa 'ala 'ibadillahis-salihin. Ash-hadu an la ilaha illallah wa ash-hadu anna Muhammadan 'abduhu wa rasuluh."
